Soft Blooms, Clearance Finds & A Little Creativity

🌿 The Ritual

Every week—usually Saturday or Sunday—I pick up flowers.

Now let me be real with you… I’m usually at Kroger, Tom Thumb, or Albertsons. Nothing fancy.

And sometimes I go in with a whole vision.

Like “okay I want this flower, this color, this vibe…”

But here’s the thing about grocery store flowers…

they are NOT going to have what you imagined in your head.

Like… ever 😂

So I’ve learned to pivot.

If I can build something cute from what they have—cool.

If not?

Baby… we heading straight to the clearance section.

💐 This Week’s Haul (Clearance Queen Edition)

This week? Oh we were in our budget floral designer era.

  • 2 bouquets of hyacinth (pink + white)

  • 1 bouquet of orange spray roses

  • 1 mixed bouquet (a little bit of everything)

  • 1 full-priced mixed bouquet (because balance ✨)

Everything else? $2.80 each.

Now don’t get me wrong…

some of these flowers were on their last leg.

But still cute. Still usable. Still had a lil life left in them.

And that’s all I need.

🎨 No Plan, Just Vibes

When I get home, I don’t overthink it.

I unwrap everything, lay it all out, and start grouping by color.

Because one thing about me?

I am a color scheme girl.

Unless the flowers are super fresh and premium, I’m not doing 15 different colors fighting for attention.

We’re keeping it cute, cohesive, and intentional.

Usually:

  • 2–3 colors max

  • Similar textures grouped together

  • Whatever feels right

🏺 Bud Vases = The Real MVP

Let’s talk about the real star of the show:

bud vases.

Because listen…

When flowers are limited or not the freshest, trying to force one big arrangement can be stressful.

So instead?

I break everything up.

  • 2–3 stems per vase

  • Multiple mini arrangements

  • Spread them around the house

And somehow it still looks like I did something.

This week I had:

  • Bud vases on the coffee table

  • Larger vases for fuller arrangements

And honestly… I might be a bud vase girl for life now.

♻️ Real Life Tip (Don’t Waste Your Flowers)

If I have flowers from last week that still look decent?

They’re getting reused.

I don’t throw flowers away until:

  • petals are falling off

  • stems start acting funny

  • or they start smelling… you know 😭

Until then?

You’re part of the new arrangement, babe.

🌸 The Arrangements

🌸 Soft Pink Moment

This one is giving soft, calm, “I have my life together” energy.

  • Pink hyacinth

Very light, very airy.

She’s not doing too much—and she doesn’t have to.

Okay THIS one… she got personality.

  • Purple statice

  • Deep pink/red daisies

  • Alstroemeria (the white with purple details 👀)

  • White Hyacinth mixed in

She’s colorful, but still balanced.

A little chaotic—but in a cute way.

🌸 Sunshine Pop

This one is my happy girl.

  • Yellow daisies

  • Orange spray roses

  • Baby’s breath

Very bright. Very cheerful.

This is the one that wakes the room up.
