Clearance Chaos & Making It Work Anyway

🌿 The Ritual (Week Two)

Okay girl… we back again 😂

At this point, you already know the vibes.

You already know what we’re doing here.

Nothing new, nothing fancy—just me, the grocery store, and whatever flowers they decided to have this week.

And of course…

a mix of clearance + a little regular priced, because balance.

💐 This Week’s Haul

This week we were working with:

  • 1 large mixed bouquet (clearance) – $5.25

  • 1 pack of palm leaves – $3

  • 1 small regular-priced bouquet – $5

And of course…

whatever flowers were still holding on from last week.

Because let’s be clear:

We are NOT throwing flowers away unless they are

crunchy, dead, tired, and fried. 😭

🎨 The Usual Process (But This Week… We Had to Think)

Same routine:

  • Lay everything out

  • Separate by color

  • Grab every vase I own

But this week?

We had to actually THINK.

Because the flower count + variety?

Very much giving… “figure it out.”

🤏 The Challenge This Week

This wasn’t my strongest week.

And that’s okay.

I had that awkward middle ground where:

  • not enough flowers for full arrangements

  • not the right flowers for minimal ones

So this week became about:

👉 pivoting

👉 adjusting

👉 making something out of what we had

🌸 The Arrangements

🌸 Pink & White Moment (Reliable Every Time)

Now THIS combo?

Never fails.

  • Pink roses

  • White daisies

  • Lily (about to bloom 👀)

  • Palm leaf

This is my:

👉 “safe but still cute” arrangement

And honestly?

Sometimes you need that.

🌿 Palm Drama (Main Character Energy)

Now THIS???

This is where things started coming together.

  • Palm leaves (obsessed. always.)

  • Baby’s breath

  • Statice

  • Mixed stems

This one feels intentional.

Like she’s giving:

👉 “I know what I’m doing”

even though we were absolutely figuring it out in real time 😂

🌸 Soft Neutral + Palm Combo

This one is soft, warm, and lowkey underrated.

  • Peach + pink tones

  • Green accents

  • Palm leaf (of course 🌿)

This is one of those:

👉 quiet but pretty

👉 not loud, but very put together

🌻 The Yellow Moment (Sigh We Tried…)

Okay… let’s talk about her.

  • Sunflower

  • Yellow carnations

  • Yellow daisies

She’s not BAD… but she’s not my favorite.

And here’s why:

  • Needed more filler (baby’s breath would’ve saved her 👀)

  • Yellow isn’t really my color

  • Palm leaves didn’t match the vibe, so I skipped them

Lesson:

👉 just because you have something doesn’t mean it belongs in every arrangement

🤍 What I Learned This Week

This week was very much:

not perfect—but still worth it.

Not every week is going to:

  • look full

  • feel easy

  • come together perfectly

Sometimes it’s:

  • awkward amounts

  • random combinations

  • figuring it out on the fly

And that’s part of it.

🌿 Real Talk

Also…

Kroger?? Girl.

Where are the flowers 😭

Because if they had more options?

I would’ve definitely grabbed:

  • baby’s breath

  • more filler

  • something to soften the yellow arrangement

But again…

👉 we work with what we have

✨ Closing

This week wasn’t perfect.

But it was real.

It was creative.

And we still made it cute.

Because at the end of the day?

Soft life isn’t about getting it perfect.

It’s about making it work anyway.
