🌸 Sunday Reset: The $10 Flower Refresh
Not gonna lie… I really wasn’t planning on doing any arrangements this week 😭
I still had a ton of flowers from last Sunday, and they were actually doing pretty well… until I forgot to change the water for two days.
Yeah. That part.
By the time I checked on them, my centerpiece was DONE. The hydrangeas? Gone. Most of the alstroemeria? Falling apart. It was giving… we waited too long.
💐 The “Quick Trip” That Wasn’t So Quick
I ended up running to Kroger to grab a few things I forgot (you already know what happened next).
Of course, I made my way to the clearance section.
This week’s finds:
Orange carnations — $2.45
Mixed bouquet — $3.50
Mixed bouquet — $2.45
So for about $10 total, we were back in business.
🌿 No Flower Left Behind
We brought everything outside—every vase, every arrangement, the centerpiece—and did a full reset.
Anything still alive? Saved.
Anything questionable? Gone.
And one thing I loved this week?
✨ Chicken wire > floral foam
Reusable
Doesn’t damage stems
Way easier to rearrange
Yeah… I’m officially done with floral foam.
🧼 The Reset Process
This week took about 2.5 hours because I didn’t just add flowers—I redid everything.
Cleaned and stripped all stems
Removed dead petals + leaves
Broke down every arrangement
Sorted by color + flower type
Measured stems (because baby… some were SHORT 😭)
This week felt way more intentional, just more time-consuming.
🌼 This Week’s Arrangements
🌸 Soft Pink + Purple Mix (Leftover Refresh)
📸 Insert Image Here
This one is a mix of salvaged stems and a few fresh additions—basically the “we’re not wasting anything” arrangement.
Flowers used:
Spray roses (red)
Carnations (soft pink)
Chrysanthemums (lavender + purple)
Statice (purple filler)
Light greenery (likely ruscus)
Vibe:
Soft, slightly romantic, a little unstructured—but still really pretty. She’s proof that leftovers can still eat.
🌼 Bright Orange + Yellow Vase (The Happy One)

This one immediately lifted the whole room.
Flowers used:
Lilies (pink + white)
Alstroemeria (orange/yellow tones)
Carnations (orange + variegated)
Bells of Ireland (those tall green stems)
Glossy greenery (ruscus)
Vibe:
Bright, fresh, and very spring/summer. This is the one that makes you feel like you have your life together.
🖤 The Brown Vase (The Consistent Queen)

Now THIS one held her own from last week.
Flowers used:
Chrysanthemums (white, blush, magenta)
Daisy mums (hot pink)
Baby’s breath
Bells of Ireland
Purple campanula (bell-shaped flowers)
Structured greenery
Vibe:
Full, balanced, and the most cohesive arrangement this week. She didn’t need much—just a little
🌱 The Bud Vases (Small but Necessary)
Because a lot of stems were shorter this week, these saved me.
Flowers used:
Hypericum berries (red)
Mini carnations
Small daisy stems
Vibe:
Simple, minimal, and honestly perfect for filling space without forcing a big arrangement.
🥴 The “Leftovers” Vase (We Tried Our Best)
(No photo… and that’s okay 😂)
This one was literally whatever was left.
Flowers used:
A mix of spray roses, carnations, and random purple stems
Some greenery that didn’t quite match
A few pieces that were… on their last leg
Vibe:
Not the most cohesive, not the prettiest—but real life. And honestly? Still kind of cute in its own chaotic way.
💭 Final Thoughts
Not my most perfect week—but definitely a real one.
For about $10, we refreshed all of our flowers and stretched them into another full week.
And I actually love this process more than starting from scratch because it forces me to be creative with what I already have.
✨ Glow Tip of the Week
If you’re planning a large centerpiece (especially a pedestal bowl), you NEED a big focal flower like hydrangeas.
Without it?
You’ll need way more stems to fill it out—and it gets expensive fast.
🌸 Real Life Reminder
Some weeks you go all out.
Some weeks you refresh what you already have.
Both count.
And this week?
We made it work 💁🏽♀️✨
